Since opening its doors this past November, Pho 234 Vietnamese Noodle Soup and Grilled Restaurant has been impressing diners from Manassas and beyond with its harmonious combinations of Vietnam’s best cuisine.

Designed by Loan and Vinh Tran in conjunction with a master chef and five staff members, the restaurant features a warm environment, cultural art and a large kitchen.

Whether in a business suit or blue jeans local customers and visitors alike find the atmosphere inviting.

The Trans emigrated from Vietnam in 2001 with a long-time ambition to turn their passion for healthy cuisine into a business.

At Pho 234, diners can choose from nearly 100 entrees.

“We offer the best quality food in a clean and cheerful atmosphere with oversized booths for our customers,” said Loan Tran.

One of their regular customers is Steven Smith.

“My wife and I stumbled across Pho 234 three months ago,” he said recently. “Having spent a considerable amount of time in Vietnam and visiting many of the Vietnamese restaurants in the area, we considered ourselves to be very familiar with the cuisine and Pho 234 is the best. The 70-mile bi-weekly commute is worth the trip — and the eight-plus hours they take to prepare the soup with vegetable seasoning makes it perfect and is appreciated,” said Smith.

Located in a brick and glass storefront building, Pho 234 is spacious with seating enough for small families to large groups.

“As a mobile technician, I have the option of eating at any restaurant in the Northern Virginia and Washington D.C. area but three or four times a week I manage my work orders to be at Pho 234 for lunch. The soup is incredible, the combination grilled entrees are awesome, the staff is fast and courteous and the price is right too,” said customer Ky Le.

Erica Morris, a college student from Greensboro, N.C., said “Pho 234 is my first place to visit when I come home. The egg rolls, beef soup and frozen drinks are the best.”

Another customer, Thuong Xzuan Vu, said the restaurant owners are focused on their customers.

“They run the restaurant like well-seasoned owners,” Vu said.
